STMA is creating a series of aircraft owned by the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum. These X-Plane models will be flown by visitors on their custom built simulators

Here is what Norm LaGasse, museum executive director, has to say about our O-1 Bird Dog on skis which is currently in use on their simulator: "Ole Dog on skis is a hit with the visitors. They really enjoy the the challenge of trying to land her on the mountain glaciers." He is anticipating even more excitement when they can fly their own aircraft on simular exciting adventures.

Cessna U-207A Stationair 8 V8.40

STMAC207V840ALL
$9.95

This 1980 Cessna U207a Stationair 8 is another one of the real workhorses of the Alaskan bush. We created this model at the request of Alaska's Medallion Foundation, a non-profit organization that is trying to improve aviation safety. It will be used on PCATDs (PC-based aviation training devices) that they are placing in key locations around the state.

The GoodWay compatible model features:

  • Airframe and flight model as close to realistic as X-Planes´s recent advances permit. Speeds, handling and "the numbers" are very close to the real airplane.
  • Transparent windows.
  • Detailed 3D instrument panel and cockpit.
  • Fully animated cowl flaps, doors, flight and engine operting controls. See the readme.txt file for instructions on how to use this feature.
  • A very accurate and realistic paint job by Flying Colors master painter Shannon Boatman.
  • Documents include performance charts and checklists extracted from the Pilot Operting Handbook (POH).
