STMA is creating a series of aircraft owned by the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum. These X-Plane models will be flown by visitors on their custom built simulators

Here is what Norm LaGasse, museum executive director, has to say about our O-1 Bird Dog on skis which is currently in use on their simulator: "Ole Dog on skis is a hit with the visitors. They really enjoy the the challenge of trying to land her on the mountain glaciers." He is anticipating even more excitement when they can fly their own aircraft on simular exciting adventures.

Shade Tree Micro Aviation Is pleased to present this low cost payware North American F-86E Sabrejet designed for V8.64 and thoroughly flight tested in V9 Beta 19.

We´ve totally gone through and updated this GoodWay Compatible Model which features:

  • Model and flight model data from the Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS) and from the pilot operating handbook (POH) supplemented by Papa Mac´s extensive library of airplane data.
  • Airframe and flight model totally rebuilt to be as close to realistic as X-Plane´s recent advances permit. Speeds, handling and "the numbers" are very close to the real airplane. This model has been thoroughly flight tested in the latest V9 Beta. However, we strongly recommend that you open and save it In V9´s PlaneMaker utility before loading it into V9 for the first time.
  • Detailed 3D instrument panel and cockpit. In the 3D cockpit, you´ll find fully animated:
    • Flight controls and engine controls.
    • Landing and taxi lights.
    • Landing gear and gear doors.
    • Wing slats.
    • Speedbrakes.
  • Very accurate and realistic skins job by Fischer-Bayern Artworks master painter Peter Fischer & Flying Colors master painter Shannon Boatman. Skins are in a separate liveries folder which permits use of X-Plane V9´s new livery selection feature.
  • Realistic custom instrument panel and gauges by Fischer-Bayern Artworks master graphics artist Peter Fischer.
  • Documents include performance data and checklists extracted from the Pilot Operating Handbook (POH).See the airplane in action here.
