F-86E Sabrejet V8.64+

The North American Aviation F-86 Sabre (sometimes called the Sabrejet) was a transonic jet fighter aircraft. The Sabre is best known for its Korean War role where it was pitted against the Soviet MiG-15 and obtained UN air superiority. Although developed in the late 1940s and outdated by the end of the 1950s, the Sabre proved adaptable and continued as a front line fighter in air forces until the last active front line examples were retired by the Bolivian Air Force in 1994.

We´ve totally gone through and updated this GoodWay Compatible Model which features:

Model and flight model data from the Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS) and from the pilot operating handbook (POH) supplemented by Papa Mac´s extensive library of airplane data.
Airframe and flight model totally rebuilt to be as close to realistic as X-Plane´s recent advances permit. Speeds, handling and "the numbers" are very close to the real airplane. This model has been thoroughly flight tested in the latest V9 Beta. However, we strongly recommend that you open and save it In V9´s PlaneMaker utility before loading it into V9 for the first time.
Detailed 3D instrument panel and cockpit. In the 3D cockpit, you´ll find fully animated:
- Flight controls and engine controls.
- Landing and taxi lights.
- Landing gear and gear doors.
- Wing slats.
- Speedbrakes.
Very accurate and realistic skins job by Fischer-Bayern Artworks master painter Peter Fischer & Flying Colors master painter Shannon Boatman. Skins are in a separate liveries folder which permits use of X-Plane V9´s new livery selection feature.

Glass Objects

Hi Peter and Jim, just wanted to let you know that the new glass object works PERFECTLY! I no longer have the tearing like before and everything is great.

Thank you so much for making the extra effort to fix it. This is one of my favorite planes and it's great to have it working properly.

And Peter, keep up the great work on those liveries! They're really beautiful and add a lot to the plane.

Everything is working well. I have just programmed some keyboard commands as you suggested and boy is this easy and fun to do. Sure makes parking a lot easier. ( wanders off into dream-- wonder if I can do something similar to help park the car in the driveway ..... )

Super Cub

I can't say enough good things about this plane. I have a private pilot license and a flew a 1946, 90 hp, Piper Cub, 30 years ago and this model seems to be so true to my memories of that flying experience. Well done! I love the 3-D cockpit and the way that I can switch viewing angles so quickly and easily, almost like the real deal. I also logged quite a few hours in a Cessna 182, so after the Cub, I also bought the Skylane model. I know is slightly older model, but still another great plane.
